My son is very interested in science, particularly medical research. He would like to spend the summer working as a volunteer in a lab.
The good news is that he is very talented in science and can easily get recommendations. In addition he speaks Chinese at a nearly fluent level verbally and is quite good with computers. The bad news is that although he is graduating from 10th grade he is only 15 and has therefore been disqualified from all internships I can find as well as working in a hospital in China. If anybody has any ideas at all I would appreciate the help.
Looking for Volunteer Position - Research Lab?
You failed to say where your son is presently ... USA, China, etc.
If he plans to leave his country, apply for a passport now so he will have time to get any needed visas!
I did a www.dogpile.com search and found some possibilities:

Ask his counselor for help. (Ha!)
Ask research librarians at the public library and at a college library for assistance.
Ask his teacher(s.)
If in the USA, ask his Senators for help!
Remember, in addition to medical schools, there are also commercial labs as well as pharmaceutical companies to consider.
