Example: A human and chimpanzee for medical research.
What do you think of genetically engineered fetus using 2 different species?
It would have a lot of ethical opposition (internationally such research is prohibited). They are hybridizing human DNA with a very small amount of animal DNA in England (however this is being done to treat genetic disease).
Reply:It is a good idea as it will allow the development of new therapies for a wide range of diseases, without the ethical issues around using human embryos.
And they are really embryos not fetuses as they are killed very early in development.
Reply:I wouldn't have a problem except where it involves humans.
