Reply:i think that there really isn't anything to spend money on to save the environment, except for like better cars, but i don't think there's a problem in the financial area, and frankly, i don't have any problem with the war, but that is a topic i can discuss in another question

Reply:The US spends billions of dollars on our current war... We are overly in debt because of this war, and so much of that money could go towards research for helping with global warming (obviously) ... the money would also be great for re-stabilizing ecosystems (especially in wetlands), and it would be great to put towards more recovery programs for endangered species..

The military budget is about `12%... the Social programs are about 60% of the total anual budget...





Perhaps you should use the "War on Poverty" as the comaprison to the "War on the Economy... er... Environment."

Reply:Only about one million times as much but hey there George W. for ya. But as far as medical research goes, I'm not sure it even exists anymore due to the lack of funding through the government. Everything is war, war, war nowadays and George W. needs to realize how to even out the playing field a little bit.
