I am VERY interested in pursuing a career in the medical field due the the fact that it is high demand, helping people, and the money is good, however I have a fear of blood. Is there anyway to bypass that aspect of the medical field? Example -physical therapy, occupational therapy, etc. I would like to know what other fields are available that are not specifically nursing. I'm just researching all of my options so any information is useful. I currently hold a BA in Psychology but there are limitations to how far I can go in that field and I would like to expand my education and growth opportunites.
Are there any careers in the medical field that do not require injections/taking blood samples?
I know OT has a strong psychology basis which is great for you considering your background--It is a Master's Program now but a lot of the pre-reqs would overlap with psychology. And if you really like that, you could work as an OT with adults or children with mental disorders, or any other number of things. I love it because of the vast number of opportunites in the field. My class just graduated and 20/22 of us got jobs within 2 months of graduation... Good luck!
