Why shouldn't research be done with stem cells from human embryos?

I mean, some embryos (excedentary from fertilization therapies) are doomed to be destroyed. Why does Church insist that they can't be used in medical research? if you were such an embryo, wouldn't you be happy to be able to contribute the cure of diseases like Parkinson, Alzheimer etc etc?? I know I would!

Why shouldn't research be done with stem cells from human embryos?
well it is the destruction of life. did you know that adult humans have viable stem cells that would work just as well?

in your nose, the olfactory dies whenrver you have a cold. stem cells rebuild it.
Reply:because for embreyonic stem cell research to be done you have to kill a kid. Why not do research with stem cells from the embilical cord. Stem cells can be extracted from there.

The Church objects because you kill one person to treat someone with what is essentially 'snake oil'
Reply:Well Churches believe that we are interfering with mother nature and messing with God's will.
Reply:It's just not "ethical".
Reply:research is being done on human embryos and with grants from the fed to boot. Those on the left would have you think that the right won't allow any research but Bush allowed for a limited number of stem cell lines to be used. Outragous claims like those made by John Edwards (remember him) are missleading and outright lies and should be dropped from the debate.
