How can someone get medical help in Lagos, Nigeria?

Someone I have been chatting with is asking for help to pay for the hospital bill for his son who was in an accident. I do not know him well enough to give money to and I know there are a lot of scammers there. Does Nigeria have any places where someone could get help with paying the medical bills there? So far in my research I have not found anything.

How can someone get medical help in Lagos, Nigeria?
Definitely it is a Nigerian scam,. Ignore it. Don't lose your money.

Take care.
Reply:Friend please understand this is said with the most serious conviction; ANYONE requesting ANYTHING from Lagos, Nigeria is 99.9 % a scam! That country is well known for online and telemarketing every sort of scam know to mankind! Please I beg you do not chat with or provide anyone from there any personal information! If you believe them sincere just say a prayer for them! Run Run Run away before you get taken!
Reply:There are (cheap) public hospitals in Nigeria. The quality of the service is appaling.

There is no public help for people who (wisely) opt for treatment at private hospitals. However, since it is mandatory, most employers have a health insurance sheme covering their permanent employees (and in some cases their spouses %26amp; children).

That being said, I'd be extremely wary sending money to anybody you only know via internet (if you thing otherwise, I'll be happy to send you my bank account details) and ESPECIALLY if the request comes from Nigeria; the birthplace of the 419 scams.
Reply:Find a witch doctor
Reply:Be wary! Be very wary! Sounds like a typical Nigerian scam. That place is in anarchy; and honor seems not to exist there, among most other things, many other things, lacking there because greed runs rampanat and nothing is left, apparently, for the poor decent people there. If your "friend" doesn't know of a source of help for "his son," how in the world would you know? Run!
