I am not in the medical field but run a distrubtorship for, a natural fruit juice. I have learned more about the human body and disease from the research that has been done on this amazing fruit. In fact I probably know more than you do, about xanthones and their usefullness in healing the human body.
I think the research, that has all been documented, is extremely interesting and usefull to a 'lay person' such as myself and it may help you to check out this amazing fruit for yourself.......you probably will be using it in the future whether you have a dr's. degree or not.

Importance of research to medical training?
to enable the person to increase his/her knowledge about medical trainings aside from formal trainings...to be able also to have more safety during the ongoing trainings...
Reply:If we didn't have academics who carry out research, then much of the medical practices today wouldn't exist. Therefore the one begets the other.
If a medic in training doesn't carry out necessary research into the practices they hope to adopt, then they will only ever rely on 'textbook knowledge'. It's a bit like having pupils learn data by rote and parroting it back in exams, instead of being able to truly understand a question and answer it through their own understanding.
