I'm 20 living in Hawaii. In my opinion the medical field here, while it does consist of some very intelligent people, is far behind the rest of the country. So yes I have talked to doctors here and gotten an unsure response so please don't tell me to talk to a doctor.
I'm paralyzed from the waist down NOT from an accident but from birth. I here all kinds of research being done that can already fix a spine that's been broken in an accident. but what type of research or progress has been made for people with birth defects causing paralysis? Are there any potential cures, or procedures or experiments in existence that could change my situation? Which area or hospital is said research taking place? Anyone have contact info for the people heading said research?
What type of research has been done on paralysis recently?
i think stem cell research is going on ,and some say look promising
