First, this loaded question is a logical fallacy, like the old unjust leading question, "Have you stopped beating your wife?"
This type of fallacy is called Plurium Interrogationum, which in Latin means "many questions" and is a question with a false, disputed, or question-begging presupposition.

Catholics do not object to all stem cell research. We only object to embryonic stem cell research where the stem cells were obtained from killing a defenseless and innocent human being.
Catholics believe that life is a sacred gift from God and needs to be treated with all human dignity from the moment of conception to the point of natural death.
The Catholic Church is pro-life in the widest sense. This is often called a "Consistent Ethic of Life."
This pro-life stance stresses the highest regard for dignity of human life including that of:
+ All people in objecting to unjust war and nuclear arms.
+ The unborn in objecting to to abortion, in vitro fertilization, frozen embryos, embryonic stem cell research, and cloning
+ The elderly, sick and dying in objecting to assisted suicide and euthanasia
+ Prisoners in objecting to torture and the death penalty
+ The poor and minorities in supporting social justice issues.

I have a parallel question: Do objectors to the Nazis doing "research" experiments on Jews refuse the medical benefits that resulted, if any?
To both questions, I answer: I hope so. A moral good cannot come from a moral evil. The end does not justify the means.
With love in Christ.
Will the catholic objectors to stem cell research refuse the medical benefits that will result ?.?
Catholics are not opposed to ALL stem cell research. The so-called "adult" stem cell research, which has actually already produced viable medical treatments, is a-okay with Catholics, so there is no need for us to refuse that treatment.
Catholics are only opposed to embryonic stem cell treatment, because it results in the death of the human embryo. To date, no viable medical treatment has been developed using embryonic stem cells. The Church's position is to drop the line of research that isn't working (and kills human embryos) and put all our resources into the line of research that IS working (and doesn't kill anybody). While people are wasting their time with embryonic stem cells and trying to clone people, millions upon millions of viable adult stem cells are being incinerated every day as medical waste (umbilical cords are full of them!).
Which just makes sense.
Reply:Understand that I'm neither Catholic nor an objector to embryonic stem cell research, but I do wish people would stop misrepresenting the church's position. It's only that research that destroys embryos to which the church objects. I imagine the controversy is such, and the research into alternatives so productive, that it will largely be a moot point. In my younger days when I had to go to clinic, I also prescribed enough oral contraceptives to Catholics not to know the answer.
Reply:Here is the real reason Catholics are opposed to stem cell (embroyotic) research. They fear the future! They know that it could lead to cures for Cancer, AIDS, Alzeimers Disease, Parkinsons Disease, Diabeties, Heart Disease, and a host of other deadly diseases that kill millions each year. They also know that it holds promiss to cure blindness and enable those with spinal injury to walk again. They know it may at some future point provide us with immortality! Thats right we may not have to die at all!!! Now ask yourself this how would religon survive without death??? Life after death (heaven) is the product that the church sells. No product no money??? They have always opposed science. They know good and well that adult stem cells may or may not hold promiss equal to embroyotic stem cells. The truth is they don't really care, they would rather you or your loved ones die then see embroyotic stem cells used to cure them. They throw up this phony argumemt about how they are not opposed to all stem cell reasearch but in reality science only works if scientist are allowed to pursue all avenues of research. Not just the ones the catholic church agrees with at the moment. Think about this example. They imprsioned Galileo because he advocated heliocentrism, in othe words becase Galileo said the earth revolved around the sun and not the other way around. We all know that earth does indeed revolve around the sun but Galileo was denied his librety because of his stance againt the catholic church. Now they want to play god with other peoples lives and deny them the hope of being cured through stem cell research. What ever happen to seperation of church and state in this country???
Reply:I am a Greek Orthdoox Katholikos ( greek universal) and I object to Stem Research. I think our Great Hippocrates The father of medicine and the Hippocratic Oath would object.

This is my belief. ( List of Papers) and some debate excepts
I dont believe in It.

Reply:Given that Pope John Paul II, an outspoken critic of embryonic stem cell research, had Parkinson's disease (the same disease that made Michael J. Fox an outspoken proponent of stem cell research), I'd say that Catholic objectors already have refused any potential benefits that would result.
Reply:lol... Excellent question... I guess only time will tell, but somehow I reckon' they'll enjoy the benefits and I'm sure that you know as well as I where the credit will go ;)
Reply:probably not.
